Kimberly Dowdell is a Principal at HOK’s Chicago studio and was the 2019-20 President of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). She is a 2020 AIA Young Architects Award recipient and was recognized for her activism efforts by Architectural Record’s 2020 Women in Architecture Awards. In addition to her contributions to increasing equity, accessibility, and diversity in architecture and real estate development, Dowdell co-founded the Social Economic Environmental Design (SEED) Network to advance design justice and inclusivity from the ground up.
