2022 Summit – CityLab High School Foundation

The “2022 Greening Dallas Sustainability Summit” will focus on issues including environmental justice, sustainable development goals and strategies, climate change and global warming, air and water quality, and the future role of renewable energy sources.

ADRIAN PARR, PhD

Adrian Parr is an internationally recognized environmental, political, and cultural thinker and activist. She is the Dean of the College of Design at the University of Oregon and a Senior Fellow of Design Intelligence. She has served as a UNESCO water chair for eight years and prior to joining the University of Oregon, she served as the Dean of the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington, and as the Director of the Taft Research Center at the University of Cincinnati. She will speak and then have a conversation with students on their thoughts on sustainable development goals and what they can do to improve our community. Join us for an opening session and discussion with Julie Hiromoto, Director of Integration and Principal for HKS at All Saints Church at 9:30 AM with CityLab students, civic and community leaders and industry experts. At 12:30 PM, students and professional mentors will begin afternoon Workshops at three locations to discuss actionable UN Sustainable Development goals (SDG’s) for Dallas, with a Zoom Roundtable discussion to follow for all attendees and guests from 2:15-3:15 PM.
